应用英语学院拥有一支高学历、高职称、教学经验丰富、师资结构合理的专职教师队伍，现有教职工52名。其中具有硕士学历以上的教师占95.6%以上，中高级职称占比88%以上，教师科研成果突出。主要承担学院应用英语专业专科层次学生的教学与管理工作。应用英语学院按照学院“以外语学科为主，相关学科互相交叉、互为渗透地培养高素质复合型涉外人才的教学应用型学院”的办学定位，培养德才兼备、具有宽阔国际视野、掌握相关行业知识和技能的应用英语复合型人才。教学班50余个，在校学生1600余人。应用英语专业下设五个方向，跨境电商、涉外旅游、中小学英语教学、学前英语教育、商务翻译。
School of Applied English has a full-time faculty with high academic degrees, high professional titles, rich teaching experience and reasonable teacher structure. There are 52 faculty members, among whom, teachers with master’s degree or above accounts for more than 95.6%, with middle and senior professional titles occupies over 88%, and their scientific research achievements are outstanding. This school is mainly responsible for teaching and management of students majoring in Applied English and Business English. Chengdu Institute Sichuan International Studies University intends to be an applied teaching university to cultivate a high-quality and complex foreign graduates based on the foreign language subject intersected and permeated with the related subjects. In accordance with this orientation, School of Applied English aims to cultivate high-qualified complex students with both ability and integrity, broad international vision, relevant industry knowledge and skills of applied English and business English. Now there are more than 50 classes and 1,600 students. There is one major in the School of Applied English: Applied English which is divided into five directions: Cross-Border E-Commerce, Foreign Tourism, Primary and Secondary English Education, Preschool English Education, and Business Translation.
应用英语学院坚持走国际化道路和校企合作道路，为学生提供了广阔的发展空间。目前，应用英语学院与波兰、新西兰、韩国、葡萄牙等国的知名大学建立了国际交流与合作关系，开展了国际交换生和国际班（或国际复语班）等留学深造项目。同时我们与跨境电商、学前教育、中小学、酒店等相关行业和企事业单位建立了实习实训基地和课程合作，丰富了专业教学内容，培养学生具备扎实的外语专业知识、较高的行业适应力，良好的人文素养和开阔的国际视野以及跨文化交际能力。
School of Applied English adheres to the road of internationalization and school-enterprise cooperation, which provides wide space for students to develop. Up to now, School of Applied English has established international exchange and cooperation with famous universities in the United States, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan and other countries, carrying out the project of further studying abroad, such as international exchange students and international (or double-foreign-language) classes and so on. At the same time, the school has established practice training bases and curriculum cooperation with cross-border e-commerce, preschool education, primary and secondary schools, hotels, other related industries, and enterprises and institutions, which enriches the professional teaching content and trains students to have solid professional knowledge of foreign languages, high industry adaptability, good humanistic literacy, open international vision and cross-cultural communication ability.
